On a cliff I climbed with gusto,
While patience held, skin couldn't
Sweat flowed even when blood dried
Spirit stretched beyond the brawn
Sky still seemed too far, moon further
Effort was dwarfed, still night beckoned
Trust the darkness, the voice said,
I trusted the promise of the voices
Clarions of caution could not catch
Defying the odds and advice, I rode
End of the earth I reached and realized
It was the wind that was leading
Down the valley I flew, while wind roared
Trust me and I will cushion your fall
From trance, I awoke as light of truth
lighted the night of treachery, and laughed
As I hit the ground, something cracked
a bit of heart, a bit of spirit
From the pain spawned a new soul,
vision was back and hair were grayed
I liked this poem...as i could relate with emotion and words written...
